1. About SouthAsia-IEN

SouthAsia-IEN (South Asia International Education Network) is a nonprofit professional membership organization connecting higher education professionals across South Asia and the global South Asian diaspora. We are headquartered in Denver, Colorado, USA.

2. Use of the Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data from the site
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or disruptive content

3. Membership Accounts

To access the member portal, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at contact@southasia-ien.org.

Membership benefits are personal and non-transferable. Institutional memberships extend to designated staff at the named institution only.

4. Payments and Refunds

Membership fees are billed annually. Summit and program registration fees are collected at checkout. We process payments securely; SouthAsia-IEN does not store your full payment card details.

Membership fees are generally non-refundable once processed. For extenuating circumstances or billing errors, contact us within 14 days of payment at contact@southasia-ien.org.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and data — is owned by or licensed to SouthAsia-IEN and protected by copyright. You may share content for non-commercial educational purposes with attribution. Written permission is required for any other reproduction or commercial use.

6. Member-Generated Content

Members may share content in community spaces (forums, directories, job board). By submitting content you grant SouthAsia-IEN a non-exclusive license to display it within the platform. Content must not be defamatory, infringing, or in violation of any law. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these standards.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SouthAsia-IEN does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SouthAsia-IEN's liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or use of the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Denver County, Colorado.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
